Shift - 8:00 AM-4:00 PM (1-2 weeks onsite training) Pay - $30/hr. - $35/hr. Position Responsibilities (Duties) Perform medical coding in an acute care hospital setting Accurately assign ICD-10-CM, CPT-4, and ICD-9-CM codes using encoder tools Apply coding guidelines, payer requirements, and federal billing regulations Demonstrate strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and disease processes Research and resolve coding-related issues and discrepancies Provide support in coder training and quality improvement activities Utilize 3M / HDS coding applications for coding and reimbursement Perform Outpatient and Emergency Department (ED) coding Required Skills & Qualifications Minimum 3 years of coding experience (4+ years preferred) Strong knowledge of ICD-10 coding standards ED coding experience is mandatory Solid Outpatient coding experience required Strong Inpatient coding background preferred Proficient in EPIC EMR and 3M coding systems Advanced computer skills, including MS Word and Excel Ability to work independently with minimal training Education/Certifications (Required) High School Diploma/GED, AHIMA, RHIA or RHIT and/or CCP, CCS Work Arrangement Role will begin onsite for 12 weeks of training (flexible based on Hiring Manager discretion) Position will transition to fully remote once responsibilities are mastered Additional Notes Seeking highly experienced, certified coder Schedule Start Date: 06/08/2026 Schedule Start Date: 06/08/2026 Schedule Hours Per Week: 35.00 Schedule Hours Per Day: 7.00 Schedule Notes: Schedule Days Per Week: 5.00
