Certified Medical Assistant Trainee

Reporting to the Clinical Nurse Manager, the Certified Medical Assistant Trainee (CMA Trainee) will be responsible for providing the following to include, but not limited to:

• Assist physicians/nurse practitioners with examinations and procedures as needed
• Assist patients in understanding provider orders
• Monitor and document vital signs including temperature, blood pressure, pulse, and respirations, as well as chief complaints, medical history and allergy history for patients
• Administer allowed injections/shots to patients
• Set up exam rooms with appropriate supplies and equipment
• Process patient referrals in a timely manner
• Adhere to Universal Precautions and OSHA Guidelines
