Certified Medical Assistant - Physician''''s Practice

Sampson Regional Medical Center is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Certified Medical Assistant to join our healthcare team. This position is an excellent opportunity for a CMA who enjoys building relationships with patients, collaborating with providers, and delivering high-quality care in an outpatient setting.

What You'll Do

• Provide professional medical assistant care to patients in the physician practice setting.
• Perform patient assessments, obtain vital signs, and document patient information accurately.
• Assist providers with examinations, procedures, and treatments.
• Administer medications and immunizations as ordered.
• Respond to patient calls and questions and provide appropriate follow-up.
• Coordinate patient care, referrals, testing, and follow-up appointments as needed.
• Educate patients and families regarding medications, treatments, preventative care, and health conditions.
• Monitor and communicate patient changes and concerns to the appropriate provider.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic medical record.
• Follow established clinical, safety, infection prevention, and regulatory standards.
• Work collaboratively with providers and other members of the practice team to provide exceptional patient care.

What We're Looking For

• Graduate from an accredited Medical Assistant program.
• Currently credentialed as a Certified or Registered Medical Assistant.
• Previous outpatient/physician practice experience preferred.
• Strong clinical assessment, communication, and organizational skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
• Commitment to providing compassionate, patient-centered care.
