What We're Looking For:
Education: High School Diploma or GED, required.
Candidates will provide proof of current certification from one of the approved certifying registries including: • CMA with the American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA) • CCMA with the National Health Career Association (NHA) • RMA with the American Medical Technologists (AMT) • American Registry of Medical Assistants (NHCWA) • National Center for Competency Testing (NCCT) • National Association for Health Professionals (NAHP) • American Allied Health (AAH) RMA with the American Registry of Medical Assistants (ARMA). If a candidate is not currently certified, they must obtain certification or registration by the end of the sixth month of their hire and sign an education agreement, required.
Experience: Previous work in a medical office, preferred.
Licensure/Certification: Current certification, or ability to obtain within 6 months of hire as CMA, RMA or CCMA, required.
Current State Drivers License (Palliative Care Only), required.
Additional Skills (required): Ability to successfully complete generic and department specific skills validation and competency testing.
What You'll Do:
Perform and document patient intake, including vital signs and medical history
Prepare patients and charts for provider visits
Administer medications and immunizations as ordered
Perform venipuncture, specimen collection, and in-office lab testing
Track and report lab results; complete required quality control documentation
Accurately document care and code visits, labs, and procedures in the EMR
Support referrals, scheduling, registration, and check-out as needed
Reinforce patient education and self-care instructions using clear language
Collaborate with providers and team members to improve workflows and patient experience
Maintain required competencies, certifications, and ongoing education
A patient-focused CMA passionate about women’s health
Strong clinical, organizational, and communication skills
Commitment to safety, accountability, and service excellence
