We are open extended hours, take walk-ins, and provide a wide range of services including flu, strep, COVID testing, x-rays, injury care, and minor procedures. We are looking for a reliable, compassionate Certified Medical Assistant to join our team and support our nurses, nurse practitioners, and physician assistants.

    Job Summary

    The Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) plays a key role in supporting clinical operations and delivering excellent patient care. This position works under the supervision of licensed nurses, nurse practitioners (NPs), and physician assistants (PAs) to assist with clinical tasks, patient flow, and administrative duties in a busy urgent care environment.

    Responsibilities

    Clinical Duties:

    Prepare exam rooms and maintain a clean, safe clinical environment

    Assist providers (RNs, LPNs, NPs, PAs) with patient care and procedures

    Obtain and document vital signs, medical histories, chief complaints, and intake information

    Perform point-of-care testing (flu, strep, COVID, urinalysis, etc.)

    Administer medications and injections as directed by supervising provider

    Assist with splinting, wound care, bandaging, and orthopedic support

    Perform EKGs and support X-ray workflow if trained/certified

    Maintain accurate medical records in the EMR system

    Patient Support:

    Provide clear instructions for follow-up care, discharge, and medication use

    Maintain a patient-centered, compassionate, and efficient experience

    Support patient flow to reduce wait times and improve clinic efficiency

    Administrative Duties:

    Handle check-in/check-out support when needed

    Manage inventory, restock supplies, and ensure equipment readiness

    Perform data entry, documentation, and coordination of lab send-outs

    Qualifications

    Active Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) credential

    BLS/CPR certification required

    Previous urgent care, family practice, or clinical experience preferred

    Strong communication skills and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment

    Team-oriented with a positive, professional attitude

    Comfortable working under the direction of nurses, NPs, and PAs

    Physical Requirements

    Ability to stand or walk for extended periods

    Ability to lift up to 25 lbs and assist with patient mobility

    Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
