Overview

We are seeking a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) in Podiatry, also referred to as a Podiatry Certified Medical Assistant, or a Podiatry Registered Medical Assistant (RMA). Podiatry Certified Medical Assistants will support podiatrists by performing clinical and administrative tasks specific to foot and ankle care. Podiatry Certified Medical Assistant''s assist with exams, minor procedures, and patient education while ensuring smooth clinic operations in both outpatient and surgical podiatry settings.

Shifts Available: Days (No Weekends)

Employment Type: Full Time

Hours: 8-hour shifts - 8:00am to 4:30pm

Responsibilities

You must be a Certified Medical Assistant from the National Healthcare Association or other nationally recognized organization to move forward in this position. We do offer programs to help you get your Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities (includes, but not limited to):

  • Prepare patients for podiatric exams by taking vitals reviewing medical history and setting up exam rooms
  • Assist with foot and ankle procedures including wound care nail treatments and minor surgeries
  • Sterilize instruments apply dressings or splints and support infection control protocols
  • Educate patients on diabetic foot care orthotics wound care and post-treatment instructions
  • Manage scheduling insurance verification referrals and EMR documentation for podiatry visits

Qualifications

Before we go any further, we do have some deal-breakers. You must have:

  • Graduate of an accredited school for Medical Assistants, Surgical Technologists, or one year of experience as a Medical Assistant in a physician clinic setting
  • Current BLS certification upon hire and maintained current
  • Current medical assistant credential from a nationally recognized Medical Assistant Credentialing organization required

Additional Qualifications That Are a Plus:

  • 1 year experience as a medical assistant in a clinic setting, preferred
