ROLE IMPACT
Help prepare the next generation of healthcare professionals by delivering engaging classroom and hands-on instruction in Medical Assisting. This flexible instructional opportunity allows experienced healthcare professionals to share real-world expertise while maintaining their current careers. Comprehensive curriculum, lesson plans, and instructional resources are provided.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Deliver engaging classroom and hands-on Medical Assisting instruction using the provided curriculum
Prepare students for nationally recognized certifications and entry-level healthcare careers
Maintain required classroom documentation and foster a positive learning environment
Mentor students by sharing practical knowledge, professionalism, and real-world healthcare experience
Opportunities are available to teach multiple campuses and, when qualified, additional Healthcare Sciences programs including Phlebotomy
LICENSES & CERTIFICATIONS
Active Certified Medical Assistant (CMA), Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA), Registered Medical Assistant (RMA), National Certified Medical Assistant (NCMA), or equivalent nationally recognized certification
Minimum of 3 years of recent Medical Assistant experience or at least 1 year of Medical Assistant instructional experience
Ability to successfully complete FBI fingerprinting/background screening
CLINICAL SKILL SET
Patient intake and vital signs
Clinical procedures and medical office workflow
Specimen collection and phlebotomy fundamentals
Infection prevention and safety protocols
Electronic health records (EHR) documentation
Patient communication and professional healthcare practices
PREFERRED SKILLS
Teaching, mentoring, coaching, or training experience preferred but not required
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to instruct students across multiple campuses when available
