Certified Medical Assistant II – Ob/Gyn

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:30 AM–5:00 PM
Experience: Minimum 1 year of full-time Certified Medical Assistant experience
Local Rate: Same as Travel Rate

Requirements

• Recent Ob/Gyn experience required

• Epic experience required

• Certified Medical Assistant with at least 1 year of full-time experience

• Strong communication, interpersonal, and teamwork skills

• Ability to document accurately in an electronic medical record

Job Responsibilities

• Room and intake patients, including collecting vital signs, height, weight, and visit information.

• Obtain medical and social history, medication lists, allergies, and preferred pharmacy.

• Assist providers with examinations, treatments, and procedures.

• Collect specimens and perform phlebotomy.

• Administer medications under provider direction.

• Perform EKGs, eye exams, and other clinical tests as directed.

• Review patient records for routine health screenings.

• Prepare, clean, stock, and maintain exam and treatment rooms.

• Clean and sterilize instruments.

• Provide after-visit, follow-up, self-care, and procedural instructions.

• Assist with registration, scheduling, referrals, and clinic telephone/in-basket tasks.

• Assist during emergency situations as directed.

• Precept and train new Medical Assistants and externs.

• Support preventive health measures, quality/safety activities, audits, and clinic supply ordering.
