    Certified Medical Assistant II – OB/GYN
    Location: Cary, NC
    Contract: 3 Months
    Schedule: Monday–Friday | 8:30 AM–5:00 PM

    Job Summary:
    We are seeking an experienced Certified Medical Assistant II with recent OB/GYN experience to support a busy clinical team.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Room patients and complete intake, including vital signs, height, weight, and visit-related information.

    • Obtain and document medical and social history, medications, allergies, and preferred pharmacy.

    • Assist providers with examinations, treatments, and procedures.

    • Perform specimen collection and phlebotomy.

    • Administer medications under provider direction.

    • Perform clinic-based testing such as EKGs and vision/eye exams.

    • Review records for routine health screenings and preventive care needs.

    • Prepare, clean, stock, and maintain exam and treatment rooms.

    • Clean and sterilize instruments.

    • Provide patients with follow-up, self-care, and procedural instructions.

    • Assist with registration, check-in/check-out, scheduling, referrals, and telephone/in-basket tasks.

    • Assist providers and nurses during emergency situations.

    • Precept and train new Medical Assistants and externs.

    • Support clinic quality and safety initiatives, audits, registries, and supply ordering.

    Requirements:

    • Minimum 1 year of full-time experience as a Certified Medical Assistant.

    • Recent OB/GYN experience is required.

    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

    • Ability to work effectively with patients, families, providers, and clinical staff.

    • Proficiency documenting in an electronic medical record (EMR).

    • Ability to perform the essential functions of the position.

    Important:
    Recent OB/GYN experience is a must.
