Bilingual Medical Assistant / Phlebotomist – Primary Care Practice

Our client is seeking an experienced Bilingual Medical Assistant / Phlebotomist to join their growing primary care practice.

This position is ideal for a Medical Assistant with strong experience in Medicare Advantage, HEDIS, and primary care, along with excellent phlebotomy skills and the ability to perform blood draws independently.

The Position:

The Medical Assistant / Phlebotomist will work closely with providers and clinical staff to deliver excellent patient care while supporting Medicare Advantage and HEDIS requirements, preventative care, and care-gap closure.

Schedule: Monday – Friday | 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM

Pay Range: $15.00 – $20.00 per hour, based on experience and Medicare Advantage/HEDIS knowledge.

Responsibilities:

  • Room patients and obtain vital signs and medical histories.
  • Perform blood draws, venipuncture, and specimen collection independently.
  • Support Medicare Advantage and HEDIS initiatives.
  • Identify and assist with closing preventative care gaps.
  • Assist providers with examinations, procedures, and treatments.
  • Coordinate referrals, testing, and follow-up care.
  • Maintain accurate documentation within the EMR/EHR.
  • Help maintain efficient patient flow and provide excellent patient care.

Requirements:

  • Bilingual English/Spanish required.
  • Medical Assistant experience in a primary care setting.
  • Strong Medicare Advantage and HEDIS experience.
  • Strong phlebotomy skills required.
  • Comfortable performing blood draws independently.
  • EMR/EHR experience.
  • Excellent communication, organization, and patient-care skills.
  • Dependable and able to work effectively in a fast-paced practice.
