Join a collaborative team where your expertise makes a direct impact on patient outcomes every day. **SIGN ON BONUS AVAILABLE** The Essentials Schedule: Full-Time 40 hours per week | Monday-Friday | 7:45 AM-5:00 PM Location: Fairlawn, OH Specialty: Orthopedics, Hand & Wrist Travel: Occasional travel between clinic locations What You'll Do Provide clinical and administrative support to physicians and advanced practice providers in a busy orthopedic outpatient practice. Room patients, obtain and document medical histories, update medications and allergies, and maintain accurate patient records in the electronic medical record (EMR). Prepare patient charts, process forms, review orders, initiate radiology orders for provider signature, and support accurate charge capture. Prepare injections and assist with orthopedic treatments, including suture and staple removal, dressing changes, wraps, cast and splint application/removal, and durable medical equipment (DME) fitting. Coordinate referrals, prior authorizations, prescription requests, and patient follow-up care. What We're Looking For Education: Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program required. Experience: 1 to 2 years of Medical Assistant experience preferred. Orthopedic or specialty clinic experience preferred. License/Certifications: Current Medical Assistant certification required within 6 months of hire. Accepted certifications include Certified Medical Assistant (CMA), Registered Medical Assistant (RMA), or Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA). BLS certification required within 3 months of hire. Skills: Strong clinical, communication, and organizational skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment. Experience with EMR systems preferred. Knowledge of orthopedic procedures, injections, casting, splinting, DME application, patient education, insurance authorizations, and clinical documentation preferred.
