Certified Medical Assistant - CMA

We are seeking a Certified Medical Assistant (Full-Time or Part-Time) to become a part of our team! We are a busy and growing pediatric office in Colts Neck, NJ. You will perform routine administrative and clinical assignments to keep the medical facility running smoothly.

Responsibilities:

• Handle all administrative duties in a timely manner
• Perform routine clinical tasks to support medical staff
• Communicate with insurance companies for proper billing procedures
• Escort patients to exam rooms
• Prepare patients for exams or treatments
• Take and record vital signs
• Update electronic health records
• Perform non-invasive screening tests
• Assist with other medical procedures, such as vaccine injections
• Responsible for recording vaccine usage and ensuring proper inventory of the vaccines
• Prepare exam rooms, ensuring proper inventory of supplies
• Assist with administrative tasks if necessary, such as scheduling appointments

​Qualifications:

• Previous experience in healthcare administration or other related fields
• Familiarity with medical billing procedures
• EMR experience a plus
• Strong organizational skills
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
• Completion of an accredited medical assistant program
• Current CMA or CCMA certification by the AAMA or NHA
• CPR certification
• BLS certification
• Medical office experience a plus
• Attention to detail
• Interpersonal, communication, and computer skills
