Job Type: Contract, 1 month, with possible extension
Hours: 30 hours per week, days only, no weekends
About the Opportunity
KMG Healthcare is hiring a Certified Medical Assistant for a contract position at an onsite employer health center in Bristol, Tennessee. Our client is a national leader in workplace healthcare. The clinic focuses on primary care with some light occupational health. You’ll work with a small, supportive team caring for client employees and their families. The contract is for one month and may extend until the role is filled permanently.
Schedule (30 hours/week)
- Monday: 7:00 AM – 6:00 PM (30-minute lunch)
- Tuesday: 7:00 AM – 2:00 PM (30-minute lunch)
- Wednesday: 7:00 AM – 12:00 PM (30-minute lunch)
- Thursday: 7:00 AM – 11:30 AM
- Friday: 7:00 AM – 11:00 AM
What You’ll Do
- Perform a high volume of blood draws (phlebotomy)
- Room patients, take vital signs, and record patient histories
- Give medications, including injections, as permitted by state regulations
- Perform lab tests and EKGs and operate other diagnostic equipment
- Prepare exam rooms and clean and sterilize instruments
- Maintain accurate patient records in the EMR
- Support the front desk: check-in, scheduling, follow-up calls, and ordering supplies
- Assist with occupational health visits as needed
Requirements
- National Medical Assistant certification (CMA, RMA, CCMA, or NCMA)
- Current BLS certification with hands-on training (AHA or ARC)
- Strong, confident phlebotomy skills
- Prior medical assistant experience preferred

- Epic EMR experience
