Description

Bring your clinical skills to an ambulatory practice where excellent preparation, accurate clinical data, and coordinated patient flow directly support endocrine care.

Join a highly collaborative Endocrine Clinic where Certified Medical Assistants work closely with nurses, providers, and access colleagues to create an efficient, supportive patient experience. This is an opportunity to contribute meaningful hands-on care while becoming part of a team-centered environment that values shared responsibility, flexibility, and mutual support.

The Role

As a Certified Medical Assistant, you will help ensure that patients are prepared for their visits and that providers have the clinical information needed to deliver informed, timely care. You will balance direct patient interaction with clinical technology and operational coordination in a specialty setting serving patients with diabetes and other endocrine conditions.

This role offers a Monday through Friday daytime schedule, with typical shifts scheduled between 7:30 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. based on clinic needs and patient volume. Alternative schedules, including four-day or four-and-a-half-day workweeks, may occasionally be supported when operationally feasible.

Your average day may include:

  • Preparing and rooming patients for provider visits
  • Supporting efficient patient flow and clinic throughput
  • Opening the clinic and assisting with daily operational functions
  • Administering injections and vaccinations as ordered
  • Performing point-of-care testing, including blood glucose checks
  • Downloading glucose-monitoring data from patient devices
  • Uploading glucose data to patient charts for provider review
  • Collaborating with providers, nurses, fellow CMAs, and access staff
  • Helping the care team address patient concerns and changing clinic needs
  • Supporting decisions related to late-arriving patients and appointment attendance
  • Sharing responsibilities across the team to maintain high-quality patient care

Success in this environment comes from strong clinical fundamentals, patient-service skills, adaptability, and a willingness to support colleagues. Experience in ambulatory care, point-of-care testing, glucose-monitoring technology, diabetes care, endocrinology, or chronic disease management can help you make an immediate contribution.
