The Staff Pad has partnered with a reputable hospital in Blue Ridge, GA, to hire a dependable Certified Medical Office Assistant.
This role combines clinical and administrative responsibilities, providing direct patient care while supporting efficient clinic operations.
Working closely with patients, providers, and staff, you'll help deliver a positive and seamless healthcare experience.
Schedule: Full-Time| Monday–Friday | 8:00 AM–5:00 PM
What You’ll Do
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate patient care by rooming patients, collecting histories, obtaining vital signs, and documenting information in the EHR
- Assist providers during examinations and procedures
- Administer injections, perform EKGs, provide wound care, and complete in-office testing
- Schedule appointments, verify insurance, and provide financial counseling
- Answer and triage phone calls, coordinate referrals, and ensure timely follow-up
- Maintain clean, organized, and fully stocked exam rooms and equipment
- Process paperwork and manage electronic patient records in AthenaClinicals
What We're Looking For
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Diploma from an accredited technical school for Medical Assisting required
- At least one year of experience as a Medical Assistant in a medical office setting preferred
- Certification or relevant comparable experience required
- Current CPR certification (must be obtained within two weeks of hire)
- Ability to follow directions & manage time effectively
- Strong interpersonal and compassionate communication skills
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 50 pounds in a fast-paced healthcare environment
