A community health organization in Albuquerque is hiring Certified Medical Assistants to support primary care services across three clinic locations.

The organization provides accessible primary care to underserved patients and families, including individuals experiencing homelessness. Medical Assistants work directly with the clinical team supporting patient triage, patient care, medical procedures, laboratory procedures and day-to-day clinic operations.

Job Details

The Medical Assistant will work as part of the primary care team supporting patient flow, clinical procedures and laboratory activity.

Responsibilities include:
  • Assist with patient triage and day-to-day patient care
  • Support providers and nursing staff during medical procedures
  • Perform laboratory procedures within the scope of the Medical Assistant role
  • Maintain clinic and laboratory equipment
  • Complete required testing controls and related documentation
  • Support reporting and follow-up for kidney study patients
  • Maintain accurate clinical documentation and patient information
  • Assist with patient flow and preparation for appointments
  • Work closely with the Lead Nurse and other members of the clinical team
  • Support primary care services across all three Albuquerque clinic locations
  • Follow clinic procedures related to patient safety, infection control and confidentiality

Qualifications
  • Medical Assistant certificate required; documentation must be provided
  • 2+ years of Medical Assistant experience, externships alone not included
  • Comfortable working with underserved patient populations, including individuals experiencing homelessness
  • Must be available for shifts scheduled between 8:00 AM and 7:00 PM
  • Must be available for occasional Saturday rotation, approximately every third Saturday from 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM
  • Must provide required vaccination documentation
  • Must successfully complete background screening and pre-employment drug testing
  • Bilingual skills are a plus
  • Strong communication, reliability and ability to work as part of a clinical team
