Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) to support the clinical team at Central Bucks Cardiology. This is a Temp-to-Hire opportunity, and candidates must be interested in transitioning to a full-time staff position with Penn Medicine.

Responsibilities

  • Room patients and prepare them for provider visits.
  • Obtain and document patient vital signs.
  • Provide patient education and basic clinical support.
  • Document patient information accurately in the EMR.
  • Assist physicians and clinical staff with daily patient care activities.
  • Perform other clinical and administrative duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Current CMA/Medical Assistant experience.
  • Minimum 18 months of experience in a physician office/ambulatory setting.
  • Cardiology experience highly preferred.
  • Experience with patient rooming, vitals, patient education, and EMR documentation.
  • EPIC/PennChart experience preferred.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and effectively as part of a clinical team.
  • Must be willing to convert to a full-time Penn Medicine employee after the temporary assignment.

Orientation & Training

  • 1-hour HR orientation.
  • EMR training based on start date.
  • HIPAA training module.
  • PennChart training as required for the role.
  • Additional onsite scheduling training may be required depending on assigned responsibilities
