Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced and dependable Lead Maintenance Technician to join our property management team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing the daily maintenance operations of a multifamily apartment community, ensuring all work orders, preventative maintenance, and community upkeep are completed efficiently and to the highest standards.

This leadership role requires strong technical skills, excellent customer service, and the ability to supervise and motivate maintenance team members while maintaining a safe and attractive living environment for residents.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise maintenance team members in daily operations.
• Assign and prioritize service requests and ensure timely completion.
• Perform HVAC, plumbing, electrical, appliance, carpentry, and general maintenance repairs.
• Conduct preventative maintenance and property inspections.
• Ensure apartment homes are market-ready for new residents.
• Respond promptly to emergency maintenance requests, including after-hours calls as needed.
• Monitor inventory and order maintenance supplies and equipment.
• Maintain compliance with company policies, safety regulations, and local building codes.
• Work closely with the Property Manager to identify and resolve maintenance concerns.
• Train and mentor maintenance staff on best practices and safety procedures.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of apartment maintenance experience required.
• Prior supervisory or lead maintenance experience preferred.
• Strong knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and appliance repair.
• EPA Certification required.
• HVAC Certification preferred.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work both indoors and outdoors.
• Strong troubleshooting, organizational, and communication skills.
• Excellent customer service and resident relations abilities.
