About the Role:Rajal J Patel DDS PA is looking for a skilled and dedicated Certified Dental Assistant to join our growing dental practice in Orange, NJ. Responsibilities:- Assist the dentist chairside during a variety of dental procedures including restorations, extractions, and preventive care
- Prepare and sterilize dental instruments and operatory rooms between patient visits
- Take and develop dental X-rays (radiographs) following proper safety protocols
- Record patient medical histories, treatment notes, and updates in dental practice management software
- Educate patients on post-operative care and proper oral hygiene techniques
- Manage inventory of dental supplies and assist with ordering as needed
- Greet patients and help create a welcoming, comfortable clinical environment
Requirements:- Current Dental Assistant Certification (CDA) required
- Valid NJ Dental Radiography certification or eligibility
- Prior chairside dental assisting experience preferred
- Proficiency with dental practice management software (Dentrix, Eaglesoft, or similar)
- Strong knowledge of infection control, OSHA, and HIPAA compliance standards
- Excellent communication skills and a compassionate, patient-centered attitude
- Ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced clinical environment
