    Job Title: Certified Athletic Trainer (High School)
    Location: Brunswick, Georgia
    Salary: $55,000 to $75,000 annually based on experience
    Sign-on bonus: $10,000
    Shift: Full-time, schedule aligned with school athletics calendar
    Weekend Requirements: Yes, based on athletic event schedule
    On-Call: As needed for athletic coverage

    Job Overview:
    We are seeking a Certified Athletic Trainer to provide comprehensive sports medicine services for a large 5A high school in Brunswick, Georgia. This role supports a competitive athletic program, including varsity football, under the direction of Sports Medicine leadership. The Athletic Trainer will oversee injury prevention, evaluation, treatment, rehabilitation, emergency response, and care coordination for student-athletes.

    This position supports Glynn Academy, a 5A high school with a strong athletic tradition, including a competitive football program with consistent playoff appearances and NFL alumni representation. The Athletic Trainer will be employed by a regional health system and serve as a visible healthcare leader within the school and community. New graduates are encouraged to apply.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Provide athletic training coverage for practices, home events, and designated away events, including varsity football
    • Evaluate injuries and provide emergency care, first aid, and rehabilitation planning
    • Develop and implement injury prevention and therapeutic programs
    • Serve as liaison between physicians, school staff, coaches, athletes, and families
    • Maintain accurate electronic medical records and required documentation
    • Assist with pre-participation physicals in coordination with the Sports Medicine team
    • Manage athletic training room operations, cleanliness, and supply inventory
    • Promote sports safety and injury prevention education within the school community
    • Participate in continuing education and professional development activities

    Required Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's degree from an accredited Athletic Training program
    • Board of Certification credential required
    • Eligible for or currently holding Georgia Athletic Trainer licensure
    • Current CPR and AED certification or ability to obtain prior to start
    • Strong communication, organizational, and relationship-building skills
    • Open to new graduates
