Position Overview

As a Certified Apartment Maintenance Technician, you will play a critical role in the day-to-day operations of the community. You will be responsible for completing service requests, performing preventative maintenance, assisting with unit turns, and supporting the overall appearance and functionality of the property.

The ideal candidate is dependable, knowledgeable in multiple maintenance trades, and capable of working independently while contributing to a collaborative maintenance team.

Key Responsibilities

• Complete resident service requests in a timely and professional manner
• Troubleshoot and repair maintenance issues throughout the property
• Perform preventative maintenance on building systems and equipment
• Assist with apartment make-readies and unit turnovers
• Perform plumbing repairs including faucets, disposals, drains, and fixtures
• Diagnose and complete basic electrical repairs and replacements
• Repair drywall, doors, flooring, cabinetry, and other interior components
• Conduct HVAC maintenance and repairs in accordance with certifications and experience
• Ensure all vacant units are prepared and ready for new resident move-ins
• Maintain community grounds and common areas as needed
• Follow all company safety policies and industry regulations
• Assist with emergency maintenance situations when required

Qualifications

• Previous apartment maintenance experience required
• Maintenance certification(s) preferred
• HVAC certification strongly preferred
• Working knowledge of electrical, plumbing, HVAC, appliance repair, drywall, and general carpentry
• Ability to diagnose and resolve maintenance issues efficiently
• Strong customer service and communication skills
• Ability to work independently and prioritize daily tasks
• Reliable transportation and dependable attendance
• Commitment to workplace safety and high-quality workmanship
