    Role Summary

    The CEO is responsible for short and long-term growth and profitability of Bonide Operations. The position requires an understanding of the local and global markets, latest industry trends, and competitive market strategies.

    This candidate will develop, direct and coordinate a local organization with functional responsibility for sales, marketing, business development, regulatory, product management, operations, people, finance, and administration.

    The success of the position is measured by increasing the unit´s business value which is measured, amongst other things, by increasing sales in existing accounts, by sales growth with new customers and markets as well as meeting pre-established operational performance objectives while meeting overall business profitability goals.

    KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Manage the continued growth and evolution of a well-established and profitable business.
    • Work closely with the existing management team to ensure that both short and long-term objectives are delivered.
    • Work with the Management team to develop, align and implement on strategic and tactical plans, including the annual WorkPlan, 5-Years Plan and the budget including the execution of these plans.
    • Demonstrate an in-depth knowledge of the marketplace, key dynamics, and company policies as well as up-to-date knowledge of the key competitors and their likely strategies.
    • Manage P&L including the delivery of top line and bottom-line results; driving the company to achieve and surpass sales, profitability, cash flow and business goals and objectives.
    • Execute established goals for sales growth, market share, profit contribution and return on investment to achieve results stated in approved plan.
    • Ensure gross margin required by the business through achieving the right balance between sales volume and profitability through a classification of the portfolio.
    • Establish organizational structure, identify and appoint functional staff leaders.
    • Create and maintain relationships with customers at all levels of the organization.
    • Ensure proper management of working capital (inventories and product availability), through active participation in planning meetings and providing quality and timely information to the production, logistics and procurement areas.
    • Report the unit's financial results both on monthly and quarterly basis according to the global guidelines.
    • Expected to recruit and manage staff, including performance monitoring, mentoring, and training.
    • Engage, motivate and develop the employee population.

    MEASURES OF SUCCESS

    People Development: Drive sustained improvement in engagement and enablement, as measured through the Employee Engagement Survey (EES). Build and enhance commercial skills by driving continuous improvement of mindset/environment to create innovative tools for simplicity & effectiveness.

    Financial Execution: Drive the sales and profit growth of the business and ensure the WorkPlan goals are achieved. Manage operational effectiveness by working closely with the finance business partner to understand OPEX and EBIT implications.

    Strategy: Spearhead the development, communication and implementation of effective growth strategies and processes. Understand the local and global markets, latest industry trends, and competitive market strategies. Monitor sales and market trends through publications and customer contact.

    Customer Focus: Develop good relationships, networks with staff, customers, and industry peers. Ensure that local business strategy aligns, where possible, with the global initiatives

    Strategy: Demonstrate strategic mindset to be able to effectively position the company against the competitors while evaluating risks and business trade-offs.

    CRITICAL EXPERIENCES FOR SUCCESS

    To be successful in this role you will have/be:

    • Ability to collaborate and develop strong relationships with all levels of personnel.
    • Proven experience directly managing a Profit and Loss (P&L) statement of at least $50M.
    • Demonstrated success managing multi-channel portfolios (Distributor, Mass/Big-box, E-commerce)
    • Strong commercial awareness, operations/manufacturing oversite, project management and team leadership.
    • Background in branded CPG, home improvement, lawn & garden, or adjacent categories preferred
    • Demonstrate sense of urgency and time effectiveness.
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
    • Ability to lead and influence key decision makers.
    • Identify, evaluate and communicate risks and opportunities on a timely basis.
    • Build and foster solid business partnering relationships with internal and external customers.

    Travel: Must be able to accommodate up to 20% of domestic and international travels including some overnight and weekend commitments.

    Education/Experience:

    • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Entomology, Science, or related field.
    • MBA/Master's degree a plus.
    • 10+ years of roles with responsibility over multiple functions including sales/marketing or previous experience as country manager/CEO in the US consumer market

    Languages: Fluent in English, both written and Oral communication
