Central Sourcing Support Contractor
Our client, a leader in the power sports industry, is seeking an experienced Central Sourcing Support Contractor for a 12 month contract assignment in Plymouth, MN. This role is hybrid, onsite Tuesday-Thursday. More time onsite may be required during onboarding or depending on business needs.
Job Summary
As a Central Sourcing Contractor, you will be responsible for supporting the Sourcing Organization from a tactical perspective. This will include reaching out to suppliers, working with internal stakeholders and following a set of work instructions to complete daily tasks. You will work to maintain work instructions as processes evolve and may be involved in administering meetings/organizing presentations and managing the housing of these presentations. This position will support the Category and NPI (New Product Introduction) Sourcing teams as they work on strategy development and implementation for assigned categories in alignment with the broader Commodity Strategy. You will manage daily/weekly tasks that help sourcing teams manage the supply base to ensure that all suppliers meet our four priorities: Delivery, Quality, New Product Integration, and Cost Competitiveness.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Supplier Relations:
- Request BOL/shipping documentation from suppliers
- Enter cost changes, maintain parts systematically, and support sourcing projects as requested by the Sourcing Agents
- Enter tooling requests into the system as requested by Sourcing Agents
- Assist with new supplier onboarding and supplier profile edits
Sourcing Priority Management:
- Look for continuous improvement opportunities in the process & workflow
- Track and communicate progress of daily tasks
- Maintain current costing as requested from Sourcing Agents
- Work with suppliers, plants, planning and Accounts Payable to resolve invoice quantity discrepancies
- Partner with sourcing, accounts payable, quality and engineering team members to resolve issues.

Education & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business Administration or similar field required
- APICS CPIM and/or ISM C.P.M./A.P.P. desired.
- Previous materials/purchasing experience is a plus but is not required

- Comfortable analyzing data
- Experience pulling reports and utilizing different systems
- Experience with MS Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
- Experienced in presentation abilities, including PowerPoint development.
Working Conditions
- Fast-paced office environment.
- 5% travel may be required
Pay Rate- $21.24- $23.24/hour
