Cemetery Grounds Supervisor in Ogden, UT

Compensation: $25-$27/hour DOE Schedule: Full-Time Mon-Fri - 6:30AM-3:30PM

Position Overview

Lead daily cemetery grounds operations with professionalism, respect, and attention to detail. This hands-on leadership role oversees grounds staff, coordinates vendors, and ensures the property is maintained to the highest standard while honoring families and the community.

Key Responsibilities

Team Leadership

• Supervise, schedule, and support grounds staff • Provide training, coaching, and performance feedback • Ensure safety compliance and quality standards

Grounds & Property Maintenance

• Oversee lawn care, irrigation, trimming, tree care, and seasonal upkeep • Maintain burial sites, headstones, and memorial areas • Ensure equipment is safe, maintained, and operational • Uphold overall appearance and cleanliness of the cemetery

Vendor & Operations Coordination

• Manage landscaping vendors and contractors • Monitor quality, timelines, and service expectations • Assist with burial preparation and service logistics as needed • Maintain inventory and support cost control efforts

Qualifications

3+ years supervisory experience (grounds, landscaping, facilities, or related field preferred) Experience leading outdoor maintenance or landscaping crews Strong leadership and organizational skills Knowledge of irrigation systems and landscape practices preferred Ability to manage vendors and multiple priorities Valid driver's license Bilingual Spanish speaker a plus

Physical Requirements
