We are seeking an experienced Cellular Field Tester to perform mobile device testing and evaluate 3G, 4G LTE, and 5G network performance. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience testing Android and Apple devices, analyzing device logs, troubleshooting connectivity issues, and investigating network-related defects. The role involves field testing, technical reporting, and collaboration with engineering teams to ensure device quality and network performance.
- Expertise on 3GPP specs for 3G/4G/5G technologies
- Able to operate Android and Apple products (iPhone, Watch, Mac)
- Experienced Field Testing - inclusive of issue investigation and representation
- Experience of 3-4 years into Mobile device testing
- Perform testing and sending daily report to client
- Log analysis & debugging UE issues.
- Aware of logging tools like QxDM, QCAT, Wireshark, STT, ELT etc
- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering (ECE), Telecommunications, Computer Science, or a related technical field.
Primary Skillsets:
- 3-4 years of experience in smartphone field testing
- Excellent understanding of 3GPP specs for 3G/4G/5G technologies
- Hands on experience of Android and Apple products like smartphones and smart watches.
- Worked for carrier certification for USA operator (viz. Verizon, AT&T & T-Mobile)
- Log analysis & debugging UE issues.
- Perform field testing of smartphones and mobile devices across 3G, 4G LTE, and 5G networks.
- Test Android and Apple devices, including iPhones, Apple Watch, and Mac devices as applicable.
- Apply knowledge of 3GPP specifications and cellular communication protocols.
- Analyze UE (User Equipment) logs and debug network-related issues.
- Investigate connectivity, call performance, data throughput, handover, and other device-related issues.
- Use tools such as QXDM, QCAT, Wireshark, and other cellular log analysis tools.
- Identify, document, and report defects with detailed technical findings.
- Prepare and submit daily testing reports to clients and project teams.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to reproduce issues, perform root-cause analysis, and verify fixes.
- Support carrier acceptance testing and certification requirements.
- Maintain accurate test records and follow established testing procedures.
