Summary: The cell lead will help direct day-to-day operations within their assigned cell. They will help to cover employee absences within the cell, ensure employees are utilizing time efficiently, meet daily/weekly goals set, and assist in all training and troubleshooting opportunities. The cell lead will assist in the growth and improvement of our current processes.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Execute the assigned plan received from the General Manager for daily/weekly goals
- Assist in the training of new employees
- Ensure the approved build process is followed by the employees while mitigating part issues, and troubleshooting constraints
- Works to improve upon the current processes
- Leads team by example, motivates and develops team to help meet or exceed production expectations.
- Help the scheduler maintain a current list of builds on hold due to parts, assisting Drivetrain techs to improve output.
- Ensures a safe workplace by communicating to management any unsafe acts or conditions
- Works with management to help develop SOP/WI
- Communicates with maintenance on equipment issues
- Other duties determined by management
Preferred Education and Experience:
- Strong background and knowledge of units being built, ability to finish any unit
- Minimum of 3 years working in a shop environment
- Ability to problem solve and improve upon the current process
- Strong leadership abilities, able to motivate and inspire a team

- Must have strong workforce planning skills, be decisive and well-organized
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced production environment
- Ability to lead a team by providing direction, coaching, and creating an environment that encourages everyone to work with others

- Works well with other departments including scheduling/warehouse/parts
