Position Summary: The CEI Inspector is responsible for the monitoring daily activities of asphalt, concrete, and earthwork for conformance of client/contractor work on various projects to ensure materials meet specifications. Position will perform engineering inspections activities such as construction observation and field sampling of asphalt, concrete, and earthwork for construction application. The inspector will record daily notes for the engineering staff. Position Responsibilities:

Physical Demands This position requires minimal lifting of up to 50 pounds on an infrequent basis. The inspector must be able to travel and tour work sites under adverse environmental conditions not limited to loud noise levels, high dust and dirt, and extreme temperature. In addition, the inspector must be able to examine construction materials and finished structures. Expected Hours of Work: This position is full-time (40 hours per week). Office hours are from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday, allowing one unpaid hour for lunch each day. While overtime is generally not anticipated, occasional projects or deadlines may necessitate additional hours, compensated according to company policy. Flexible schedules may be available with prior approval from the immediate supervisor. Work schedules may vary based on project demands.
