    Description

    JOB GOAL: The CPAC Technical Project Lead will oversee all technical operations, coordinating producation needs, and ensuring high-quality execution of lighting, sound, staging. Provide leadership and clear communication to tech support team members, proactively solve technical challenges, and support a safe, efficient, and collaborative production environment that enhances the overall audience and performer experience.

    ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

    • Perform theater technical operations, including lighting, sound, staging and rigging needs

    • Serve as the on-site point of contact for renters, technical support staff, students, crew, and volunteers regarding technical needs in the absence of the Technical Coordinator

    • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues quickly and effectively during live events

    • Ensure all equipment is properly set up, operated, maintained, and stored

    • Enforce safety standards and best practices for all technical operations and backstage activities

    • Collaborate with directors and production staff to achieve artistic and technical goals

    • Provide training and guidance to staff and students on proper use of technical equipment

    • Maintain clear communication with internal teams and external renters to support successful productions

    • Assist in documenting technical processes, event reports, and post-production evaluations

    • Monitor custodial care of the CPAC

    • Work fexible hours: evenings and weekends

    • Serve as a role model for students by conducting themselves as a responsible, intelligent citizen

    • Other duties as assigned by the Superintendent

    Language Skills:

    • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals

    • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence

    • Ability to speak effectively before groups of students or employees of an organization

    Mathematical Skills

    • Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference and fundamentals of place and solid geometry and trigonometry

    • Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, rations and proportions to practical situations

    Reasoning Ability

    • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists

    • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form

    • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions

    • The noise level in the work environment is usually loud to very loud. At times the noise level in performing arts centers can be greater based on the location and nature of the activity
