Akkodis is seeking a CDN Platform Engineer for a Contract with a client in Dearborn, MI (Hybrid). The ideal candidate is responsible for designing, implementing, and optimizing enterprise Content Delivery Network (CDN) platforms to ensure secure, scalable, and high-performance delivery of digital applications.
Rate Range: $55/hour to $65/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.
CDN Platform Engineer Job Responsibilities include:
Design, implement, and manage enterprise CDN platforms across Akamai, Cloudflare, Fastly, and Google Cloud CDN to ensure high availability, performance, and scalability.
Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) solutions using Terraform and Ansible to automate CDN provisioning, configurations, WAF policies, and traffic routing.
Build and support self-service CDN capabilities, APIs, and automation tools for application teams using Backstage, React, Python, or Java technologies.
Implement and manage CI/CD and GitOps deployment pipelines while ensuring API security, compliance, and operational governance.
Monitor CDN performance, caching efficiency, security events, and system reliability using observability tools such as Splunk, Dynatrace, and Grafana.
Lead incident response, root cause analysis, performance optimization, and technical mentoring while collaborating with application, network, security, and cloud infrastructure teams.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, Network Engineering, or a related technical field.
5+ years of experience managing and supporting enterprise Content Delivery Network (CDN) platforms and cloud-based infrastructure solutions.
Hands-on experience with Multi-CDN platforms such as Akamai, Cloudflare, Fastly, and Google Cloud CDN, including caching strategies, traffic routing, DNS, TLS/SSL, and CDN performance optimization.
Strong expertise in Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Ansible), automation, CI/CD pipelines, API integrations, observability tools (Splunk, Dynatrace, Grafana), and cloud platforms such as GCP.

Pay Details: $55.00 to $65.00 per hour
