Role Overview:

The Commercial Drivers License (CDL) Program Coordinator provides critical support to the CDL Director in the strategic oversight and administration of all daily operational activities. In addition to assisting with day-to-day management, this role ensures that program policies and procedures remain aligned with organizational strategic priorities and comply with applicable state governance standards.

Key outcomes for this role are:

  • Assist in managing all processes related to supporting CDL drivers both within Indiana and in other states.
  • Ensure agency compliance with all applicable federal CDL regulations.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues raised by branch personnel or CDL drivers.
  • Communicate with customers to address inquiries related to the CDL program.
  • Provide comprehensive support to the CDL Program Director as needed.

Salary:

This position traditionally starts at $42,900 annually and may be commensureate with education and experience.

A Day in the Life:

The essential functions of this role are:

  • Follow agency policies and operating procedures daily to ensure efficient daily production.
  • Answers technical questions and traces requested information.
  • Sorts and distributes or responds to and handles records, files, and other documents.
  • Process mail correspondence daily which includes typing/printing letters and inserting comments.
  • Oversee and track branch errors processes.
  • Notify and correspond with Applicants for additional information.
  • Represents the agency in a positive and professional manner.

  • Follow and support BMV policies and procedures.

Supervisory Responsibilities/Direct Reports:

This role may be utilized in a supervisory capacity based on agency needs.
