We're hiring an experienced fleet mechanic with a CDL for our Fort Lauderdale repair shop. We work mostly on light and medium duty fleet vehicles — vans and box trucks — with some heavy duty trucks too. Steady work, and the bays stay full.
REQUIREMENTS
- 3+ years as a fleet, automotive, or diesel mechanic
- Valid CDL (Class A or B) — required
- Strong diagnostic skills — you find the problem, you don't throw parts at it
- Light and medium duty experience; heavy duty a plus
- Own hand tools
- ASE certification a plus, not required
- English or Spanish
THE WORK
- Diagnostics & electrical — check engine lights, no-starts, wiring problems
- Engine and drivetrain repair on gas and diesel vehicles
- Brakes, suspension & steering
- A/C — diagnosis, leaks, compressors, evac and recharge
- Preventive maintenance (PM) on fleet vans, box trucks, and commercial vehicles
- Some heavy duty truck repair
