Position Overview
Stand-By Personnel is seeking a dependable CDL Driver / Warehouse Associate for a temp-to-hire opportunity with a masonry supply operation in Oklahoma City. This position combines regional CDL deliveries with hands-on warehouse and order-fulfillment responsibilities.
Drivers will make deliveries throughout Oklahoma, Texas, Kansas, and Arkansas, primarily operating an F-550 with a gooseneck trailer. When deliveries are not scheduled, the associate will work in the warehouse pulling orders, handling materials, verifying shipments, and supporting daily operations.
The ideal candidate is dependable, takes initiative, works well with a team, and is willing to help wherever needed.
Required Experience & Skills
Valid CDL required
Must be at least 21 years old due to out-of-state deliveries
Ability to safely operate an F-550 with a gooseneck trailer
Ability to repeatedly lift at least 80 lbs
Ability to read and work accurately from packing slips
Dependable attendance and strong work ethic
Ability to work independently while on delivery routes
Strong attention to order and delivery accuracy
Ability to meet applicable background requirements due to deliveries to military bases
Strong commitment to DOT and company safety requirements
Essential Driving Responsibilities
Make regional deliveries throughout Oklahoma, Texas, Kansas, and Arkansas
Operate an F-550 with a gooseneck trailer for most deliveries
Operate an F-150 for local deliveries when available
Review delivery paperwork and verify orders before departure
Safely load and secure customer materials for transportation
Transport orders according to assigned delivery schedules
Unload customer orders safely at delivery locations
Complete required driver and delivery documentation
Maintain professional communication with customers and company personnel
Follow applicable DOT regulations and company transportation procedures
Report vehicle, delivery, or safety concerns promptly
Warehouse Responsibilities
When not making deliveries, this position will assist with daily warehouse operations.
Pick and pull customer orders using packing slips
Verify products and quantities for accuracy
Stage completed orders for delivery or customer pickup
Load and unload warehouse materials
Organize products and maintain designated storage areas
Assist with general material handling throughout the facility
Maintain clean, organized, and safe warehouse areas
Help coworkers with daily warehouse responsibilities as needed
Stay productive and take initiative during periods without scheduled deliveries
Forklift Responsibilities
Forklift experience is a plus but not required.
The company is willing to train and certify the right candidate on sit-down forklift operation.
Once trained and authorized, responsibilities may include:
Loading and unloading materials
Staging customer orders
Moving products throughout the warehouse
Loading delivery vehicles and trailers
Supporting general warehouse material flow
Preferred Qualifications
Previous CDL delivery experience
Experience pulling a gooseneck trailer
Regional delivery experience
Warehouse or order-pulling experience
Masonry, construction supply, or building-material experience
Sit-down forklift experience
ELD knowledge or experience
Experience delivering to military bases or controlled-access facilities
Strong material-handling and load-securement skills
Physical Requirements
Ability to repeatedly lift and handle at least 80 lbs
Frequent lifting, carrying, bending, reaching, pushing, and pulling
Ability to safely load and unload customer materials
Ability to perform outdoor work in varying weather conditions during deliveries
Ability to safely enter and exit delivery vehicles throughout the workday
Comfortable performing physically demanding warehouse and delivery work
Ability to transition between extended driving and active material-handling responsibilities
Work Environment
Combination of regional CDL driving and warehouse operations
Regular deliveries throughout Oklahoma, Texas, Kansas, and Arkansas
Hands-on work involving masonry and construction-related materials
Regular operation of an F-550 with gooseneck trailer
Local deliveries may be completed using an F-150 when available
