Waste Connections is seeking a reliable and experiencedCDLA Driverto operate ourMissoula route, hauling trash from our transfer station to the landfill in Missoula. This position involves operating aroll-off truckwith one box on the truck and pulling a trailer withtwo additional boxes, totalingthree boxes per tripto the landfill.Starting Pay:$23.50/hourSchedule:Monday-Friday, occasional Saturdays as neededStart Time:Between 5:00 AM and 6:00 AM, depending on route availabilityKey Responsibilities:- Waste CollectionandTransportation:- Operate trash trucks to collect garbage,recycling, and yard waste on assigned routes.- Ensure the safe and efficient loading of waste materials using appropriate techniques and equipment.- Transport collected waste to designated disposal facilities.- Vehicle Operation and Maintenance:- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the truck, ensuring it is in good working condition.- Report any mechanical issues or maintenance needs to the fleet maintenance team promptly.- Perform routine cleaning and maintenance of the vehicle to ensure compliance with safety standards.- Safety and Compliance:- Adhere to allsafety protocolsand company policies while operating the vehicle and handling waste materials.- Comply with local, state, and federal regulations related towaste managementandtransportation.- Use personal protective equipment (PPE) as required and provided.- Customer Service:- Interact courteously with customers and the public, addressing any questions or concerns professionally.- Ensurewaste collectionservices meet customer expectations and resolve issues promptly.- Record Keeping:- Maintain accurate records of daily routes, waste collected, and any incidents or issues encountered.- Complete and submit requireddocumentationin a timely manner.- Qualifications:Qualifications:- Validcommercial driver's license (CDL) with a clean driving record.- Two years ofcommercial drivingexperience*preferred*.- Strong knowledge of local streets and routes.- Excellent driving skills with a focus on safety.- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting and loading heavy items 50 lb +, with the ability to stand, walk, bend, and climb into the truck multiple times a day.- Comfortable working in various weather conditions- Good communication and interpersonal skills.- Steady working history.- Basicmechanical knowledgefor vehicle inspections and minor maintenance tasks.Benefits:- Competitive salary- Monthly safety bonus- Health, dental, and vision insurance- Retirement plan with company match- Paid time off and holidays- Training and development opportunities- Uniforms provided- Free trash serviceWaste Connections is an equal opportunity employer.
