CDL Delivery Driver

Local CDL Driver Responsibilities Work in a lumber yard environment and make local deliveries to homes and businesses. Ability to perform physical labor, including lifting shingles and assisting with rooftop deliveries.

 
Penmac Staffing is urgently hiring Local CDL Drivers for a long?established company in Springfield, MO. This is a full?time, direct-hire opportunity working Monday through Friday from 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Pay starts at $21 per hour.  Requirements for the Local CDL Driver

• Valid CDL-A or CDL-B license 
• Will take New CDLA or CDLB Driver
• Must be able to drive manual and automatic transmission trucks
• Must be willing to submit to a criminal background check and motor vehicle record check
• Current DOT medical card required
• Strong work history and reliability
• Ability to perform physical labor, including lifting shingles and assisting with rooftop deliveries
• Must be able to lift 75-100 pounds repeatedly (your most common cargo will be 70-pound bundles of shingles)
• Must be able to work on rooftops
• Pre-employment DOT drug screens 
• Conveyor truck experience is preferred, but not required

  Local CDL Driver Responsibilities

• Work in a lumber yard environment and make local deliveries to homes and businesses
• Assist with unloading shingles from the truck and placing them onto a conveyor belt
• Rotate with a helper to carry shingles onto roofs as needed
• Represent the company with professionalism and safe driving practices
• Operate manual and automatic trucks
• Deliver excellent customer service while interacting with clients on-site
