Some drivers spend half their week waiting. Waiting on gates, waiting on chassis, waiting on a dispatcher to figure out where they go next. This is not that seat.

This route runs on your own company's chassis, out of your own warehouses, with the wait time engineered out of it. Three round trips a day is the expectation, not the exception. If you want your truck moving instead of idling, keep reading.

As a Class A CDL Driver running local drayage, you will handle port to warehouse moves on a tight, efficient loop. Most of your day is drop and hook, using dedicated chassis and dedicated facilities, so you spend your hours driving instead of standing around a port waiting for a slot to open.

You will run Monday through Friday, matching port hours, and you will be home every single night. No long haul, no unpredictable overnight stays, just steady local work with real earning potential behind it.

• Run local drayage moves between the port and company warehouses on a consistent daily loop
• Complete drop and hook pickups and deliveries using dedicated chassis, no tarping or hand unloading required
• Hit a guaranteed two to three round trips per day, keeping freight and schedules on track
• Use dispatching and ELD applications to log hours and track loads
• Perform basic pre trip and post trip inspections and flag any equipment issues to the on site mechanic
• Keep documentation, load tracking, and communication clean and current every shift

• Minimum two years of verifiable Class A CDL experience, ideally as a 1099 driver
• Active TWIC card and a valid DOT medical card
• Prior drayage or port experience is a strong plus, though a sharp work ethic and team first attitude matter just as much
• Comfort with dispatching and ELD apps preferred
• Bilingual ability, Spanish or Chinese and English, is a nice to have, not a requirement
• A dependable, safety minded approach to the job, every single day

• Average take home pay around $2,200 per week, paid out weekly
• Guaranteed two to three round trips per day to keep your wheels turning
• Roughly ninety percent of runs move directly from the port to company warehouses, drop and hook, with no wait times
• On site mechanic and routine preventative maintenance keep your equipment road ready
• Home daily on a steady Monday through Friday schedule that lines up with port hours

Pay starts at $2,200 a week on average, paid weekly, with volume high enough to keep that number real. Add in a home daily schedule, dedicated equipment, and a mechanic on site, and you have a drayage seat built to keep drivers instead of burning through them.
