What You'll Be Doing — Your Daily Mission:
As a CDL B Vac Truck Operator, you'll play an important role in safely completing industrial cleaning projects and keeping equipment operating efficiently.
Operate Powerful Equipment:
- Drive, transport, set up, and operate industrial vacuum trucks and high-pressure water blasting equipment.
- Perform hazardous and non-hazardous industrial cleaning activities.
- Safely operate equipment in accordance with company procedures and job-site requirements.
Keep Equipment Ready:
- Complete daily equipment inspections and operational checks.
- Perform routine maintenance and minor repairs.
- Monitor equipment condition and identify potential issues before they lead to downtime.
- Troubleshoot mechanical problems in the field when necessary.
Work Safely:
- Follow all company, customer, and job-site safety procedures.
- Work safely around heavy machinery, industrial environments, and hazardous materials.
- Follow proper procedures for equipment decontamination and prevent cross-contamination.
- Report equipment, safety, or operational concerns to appropriate leadership.
Go Where the Work Is:
- Travel to various industrial job sites as required.
- Work in a variety of industrial environments and conditions.
- Be available for 24/7 on-call work, including weekends and holidays when needed.
- Work overtime based on customer and operational needs.
Get Your Hands Dirty: This is an active, hands-on position. Operators should be comfortable.
- Lifting up to 70 pounds.
- Climbing ladders and working at elevated heights.
- Working in tight or confined spaces.
- Working in extreme temperatures and demanding industrial environments.
- Working at elevations of up to 250 feet.
What You Need to Succeed.
Required Qualifications:
- Minimum 21 years of age.
- Valid Class B CDL or willingness to obtain one if medically qualified.
- At least 18 months of industrial cleaning experience.
- Ability to safely operate and work around heavy equipment.
- Mechanical aptitude and ability to troubleshoot equipment.
- Ability to perform physically demanding, hands-on work.
- Ability to lift up to 70 pounds, climb, bend, stoop, and work in demanding environments.
- Ability to read, write, communicate effectively, and follow written and verbal safety procedures.
- Willingness to travel to various job sites.
- Availability to work 24/7 on-call shifts, weekends, holidays, and overtime as needed.
- Ability to successfully complete required medical screenings and drug testing.
Preferred Experience:
- Previous vacuum truck experience.
- Hydroblasting or high-pressure water blasting experience.
- Industrial maintenance or mechanical experience.
- Hazardous material or industrial cleaning experience.
- Previous CDL driving experience.
- Experience working in refinery, chemical, manufacturing, or other industrial facilities.
