Home time: Daily

Experience: 12 months or greater CDL experience

Job responsibilities

• Act as a training resource for drivers and operations, safety and training teams.
• Work with existing drivers by providing them training, evaluating their skills and determining their road-readiness.
• Coach and mentor drivers following Schneider’s curriculum and drivers’ needs.
• Maintain and update training records.
• Assist with answering training-related phone calls.
• Provide support in areas outside of training, including hauling freight, assisting with new customer start-ups, repositioning equipment and performing truck inspections.

Skills qualifications

• Previous instructor or training experience preferred.
• Strong coaching and mentoring skills.
• Demonstrates a positive, professional attitude.
• Able to learn, demonstrate and train Schneider’s company policies and procedures.

Driver qualifications

• Valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL).
• DOT physical card.
• Minimum 12 months of Class A driving experience.
• Live within 30 miles of Indianapolis, IN.
