Position Overview
Our client is hiring CDL-A drivers for a dedicated building-products account offering consistent miles and predictable home time along the I-95 corridor. Freight on this fleet is dry van, no-touch, running the I-95 corridor from southern Maine to Florida.
Home time is weekly, which makes this a strong fit for drivers who want a predictable routine and a consistent paycheck rather than long, open-ended stretches on the road. Average earnings on this account run $1,511 per week, approximately $78,604 annualized.
Key Responsibilities
You will operate a Class A tractor-trailer safely and legally at all times, completing pre-trip and post-trip inspections, monitoring your hours of service, and keeping your logs accurate and current in accordance with federal regulations and company policy.
You will transport freight on schedule across the I-95 corridor from southern Maine to Florida, following assigned routes, planning fuel and rest stops sensibly, and communicating proactively with your fleet manager when weather, traffic, or a customer delay puts a delivery window at risk.
All freight is no-touch, with an average of two stops per week.
Drivers average 2,000 miles a week on a settled lane structure.
You will verify load counts, seals, and paperwork at pickup and delivery, secure freight correctly for transit, and complete bills of lading and delivery documentation accurately so the customer's records and yours agree.
You will represent our client professionally at every customer location, maintain the condition and cleanliness of your assigned equipment, and report mechanical issues promptly so they are addressed before they become a breakdown.
Requirements
A valid Class A Commercial Driver's License is required, along with a minimum of 3 months of verifiable CDL-A driving experience. You must meet all Department of Transportation qualification requirements and hold a current DOT medical certification.
An acceptable motor vehicle record and safety history are required. You must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen and comply with all federal testing requirements throughout your employment.
Hiring within 50 miles of Fayetteville and Charlotte NC, Darlington SC, Harrisburg, Shippensburg, Philadelphia and Ono PA, Burlington NJ, Columbia MD, Big Island VA, Atlanta and Rincon GA, Palatka and Jacksonville FL, and Pennington AL.
Preferred Qualifications
Prior dedicated account experience is preferred, particularly on fleets with consistent, repeating routes where familiarity with the lane and the customer builds real efficiency.
A clean safety record, consistent on-time performance, and a track record of steady tenure with previous carriers all strengthen an application. Drivers who communicate well with dispatch, handle customer contact professionally, and take care of their equipment tend to do well on dedicated accounts like this one.
Compensation and Benefits
Average earnings on this account are $1,511 per week, approximately $78,604 annualized. Pay is made up of: Mileage pay; Stop pay; Detention pay.
Home time: Home Weekly. Six to eight days out, then planned home for a 34-hour reset.
Equipment: automatic transmission trucks pulling dry van trailers. There are currently 10 openings on this fleet.
