Position Overview
Our client is hiring CDL-A drivers for a dedicated building-products account running consistent miles across the western states. Freight on this fleet is dry van, no-touch, running the seven western states — WA, OR, ID, CA, NV, UT and AZ.
Home time comes every two weeks, giving you a clear, repeatable schedule you can plan your life around while still running the miles that make the paycheck. Average earnings on this account run $1,344 per week, approximately $69,928 annualized.
Key Responsibilities
You will operate a Class A tractor-trailer safely and legally at all times, completing pre-trip and post-trip inspections, monitoring your hours of service, and keeping your logs accurate and current in accordance with federal regulations and company policy.
You will transport freight on schedule across the seven western states — WA, OR, ID, CA, NV, UT and AZ, following assigned routes, planning fuel and rest stops sensibly, and communicating proactively with your fleet manager when weather, traffic, or a customer delay puts a delivery window at risk.
Lanes run from the Ontario/Rancho Cucamonga, CA area with deliveries to retail stores and manufacturing plants throughout the West.
Freight is no-touch with a mixture of live unload and drop-and-hook. Drivers average 2,000 miles per week.
You will verify load counts, seals, and paperwork at pickup and delivery, secure freight correctly for transit, and complete bills of lading and delivery documentation accurately so the customer's records and yours agree.
You will represent our client professionally at every customer location, maintain the condition and cleanliness of your assigned equipment, and report mechanical issues promptly so they are addressed before they become a breakdown.
Requirements
A valid Class A Commercial Driver's License is required, along with a minimum of 3 months of verifiable CDL-A driving experience. You must meet all Department of Transportation qualification requirements and hold a current DOT medical certification.
An acceptable motor vehicle record and safety history are required. You must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen and comply with all federal testing requirements throughout your employment.
Hiring around Colton, Stockton, Modesto, Sacramento, Bakersfield, Chowchilla and Fresno CA, Portland and Albany OR, Vancouver, Spokane and Seattle WA, Salt Lake City and St. George UT, Las Vegas NV, and Phoenix and Casa Grande AZ. Drivers within 50 miles of Colton park at the Colton yard; others may take the truck home to a secure location.
Preferred Qualifications
Prior dedicated account experience is preferred, particularly on fleets with consistent, repeating routes where familiarity with the lane and the customer builds real efficiency.
A clean safety record, consistent on-time performance, and a track record of steady tenure with previous carriers all strengthen an application. Drivers who communicate well with dispatch, handle customer contact professionally, and take care of their equipment tend to do well on dedicated accounts like this one.
Compensation and Benefits
Average earnings on this account are $1,344 per week, approximately $69,928 annualized. Pay is made up of: Mileage pay; Detention pay.
Home time: Home every 2 weeks. Two full days off every 10 to 14 days.
Equipment: automatic transmission trucks pulling 53' trailers. There are currently 4 openings on this fleet.
We place drivers directly with the fleets we represent, and we stay with you through the process — application, orientation scheduling, and the first weeks on the account.
