Job Details
- Dedicated grocery account operating throughout CT, MA, NJ, VT, RI, and NH
- Average approximately 1,865 miles per week
- Deliver fresh and frozen groceries using reefer trailers
- Multi-stop routes averaging 31 stops per week
- Typically run one long load per day, with an occasional second shorter load
- Pick up returned products and backhauls as needed
- Driver-assist unloading of frozen products, typically 1-3 pallets per stop
- Use automatic or manual pallet jacks
- May support other local accounts as needed
- Automatic day cabs with slip seating
- Trucks cannot be taken home
- Drivers start and finish at the East Granby, CT yard
- Reliable personal transportation to and from work is required
Shift Details
- Tuesday-Saturday schedule
- Start times between 10:00 AM and 2:00 PM
- Average 12-14 hour shifts
- Occasional overnight layovers; hotel accommodations provided
- Drivers should expect to work all holidays
Job Requirements
- Valid Class A driver's license
- Minimum 3 months of verifiable Class A CDL experience
- Valid DOT Medical Card
- Clean driving record
- No SAP drivers
- Reliable transportation to and from the account
- Comfortable with driver-assist unloading and pallet jack operation
- Strong customer service skills
