CDL-A Local Intermodal Driver | Home Daily

Looking for a local Class A driving position with daily home time?

We are hiring experienced CDL-A drivers for an intermodal operation serving the Inland Empire and greater Los Angeles area. Drivers haul container freight between rail ramps and customer locations while returning home after each shift.

Local Intermodal Position

• Home daily
• Night shift
• Intermodal container freight
• Approximately 3–6 loads per day
• Around 1,500 miles per week
• No driver-assist loads
• Consistent local operating area
• Weekly pay

Freight may include a combination of live load/unload, preloaded trailers, and drop-and-hook moves.

Pay

• $19.25 per hour
• $18.71 per stop
• Average weekly earnings may range from approximately $1,400–$1,800, depending on workload, hours, and stops

Actual earnings will vary based on hours worked, loads, stops, schedule, and other applicable pay factors.

Where You'll Run

Drivers operate throughout the Inland Empire and Los Angeles area, including freight moving in and out of rail ramps and customer locations.

Common operating areas may include:

San Bernardino • Fontana • Ontario • Long Beach • Los Angeles • Commerce • City of Industry • Bloomington

Some freight may also involve shuttle or slip-seat operations within the San Bernardino area.

Schedule

• Home daily
• Night shift
• Available schedules may include Sunday–Thursday or Tuesday–Saturday
• Weekend work is required
• Holiday work may be optional depending on freight needs

Qualifications

• Valid Class A CDL
• Minimum 6 months of recent tractor-trailer experience
• Must live within approximately 25 miles of ZIP code 92407
• Hazmat endorsement required
• Must be comfortable operating intermodal containers secured on chassis
• Must meet applicable DOT qualification requirements
• Must be authorized to work in the United States
