About the Position
Our client is seeking full-time local CDL A drivers for a dedicated position based in Port Wentworth, Georgia. This opportunity offers steady home time, no-touch freight, and competitive benefits. Drivers should be prepared to operate local, extended drayage, and regional routes as needed.
Pay & Schedule
- Pay rate: $27 per hour
- Full-time position
- 40 hours per week
- Monday through Friday schedule
- Start times between 5:00 a.m. and 7:00 a.m.
- Rotating Saturday work as needed
- Typical workdays are 8 to 10 hours
- Position starts August 24, 2026
Job Details
- Route type: Primarily local and extended drayage routes, with regional routes throughout Georgia, Florida, South Carolina, North Carolina, Kentucky, and surrounding areas as needed
- Occasional overnight and over-the-road runs may be required based on operational needs
- Freight: No-touch freight
- Equipment: Manual transmission required
- Typical workload: 2 to 3 loads per day
- Employment type: Dedicated
Key Responsibilities
- Safely operate a CDL A tractor-trailer on assigned local and regional routes
- Transport freight in accordance with applicable DOT and FMCSA regulations
- Operate manual-transmission equipment
- Complete approximately 2 to 3 loads per day
- Maintain accurate delivery and transportation documentation
- Provide professional and dependable service while representing TransForce
Minimum Requirements
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License
- 2+ years of recent, relevant, and verifiable driving experience
- Manual transmission experience
- Valid TWIC card
- Clean Motor Vehicle Record with no major traffic violations or preventable accidents in the last 3 years
- Must meet all DOT and FMCSA requirements
