CDL A Truck Driver – Steel Manufacturing

Location: Claremore, OK
Shift: 1st Shift, Days
Pay: $23–$25/hour (based on experience)

A local steel manufacturing company in Claremore, OK is hiring an experienced CDL Class A Driver to join our 1st shift team. This is a great opportunity for a reliable, safety-focused driver looking for consistent local routes and a steady schedule — home daily.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate a Class A commercial vehicle to transport steel products, materials, and supplies between the facility, job sites, and customer locations
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections in compliance with DOT regulations
• Secure loads properly using chains, straps, and tarps as needed for steel/metal products
• Load and unload materials safely, using proper equipment (forklift experience a plus)
• Maintain accurate delivery logs, paperwork, and DOT-required documentation
• Communicate proactively with dispatch and warehouse staff regarding delivery schedules
• Conduct routine vehicle maintenance checks and report mechanical issues promptly
• Follow all company safety policies and DOT/FMCSA regulations at all times
• Maintain a clean, professional appearance and represent the company positively with customers

Requirements

• Valid Class A CDL (required)
• Clean driving record and current DOT medical card
• Minimum 1–2 years of verifiable CDL A driving experience preferred
• Experience hauling steel, flatbed, or heavy materials required
• Ability to lift/move materials and assist with load securement (up to 50 lbs)
• Strong understanding of safe load-securing practices for metal/steel products
• Punctual, dependable, and safety-oriented work ethic
• Ability to pass pre-employment drug screening and background check
