About the Position

Our client is seeking a reliable CDL A Driver for a local light-touch delivery assignment in the Carlsbad area. This role offers consistent Monday through Friday work, competitive pay, and the potential for permanent placement.

Pay & Schedule

• $27.00 per hour
• Estimated weekly gross pay of $1,400
• Monday through Friday schedule
• Start times vary between 4:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m., depending on the assigned route
• 40 hours per week
• Temporary assignment scheduled through November 27, 2026, with potential for permanent placement
• Local work in Carlsbad, California

Job Details

• Route type: Local routes with varying daily stops
• Freight: Light-touch freight delivered to vendors

• Handling: Safely lift or move up to 50 pounds regularly and up to 100 pounds occasionally

Key Responsibilities

• Operate a Class A tractor-trailer on assigned local routes.
• Complete deliveries to vendors while managing varying routes and daily stops.
• Handle light-touch freight safely and efficiently.
• Frequently enter and exit the cab and rear cargo area.
• Complete vehicle inspections and report safety or mechanical concerns.
• Follow all applicable safety procedures and transportation regulations.

Minimum Requirements

• Valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License.
• 1+ year of recent, relevant, and verifiable driving experience.
• Current non-excepted interstate DOT medical card or the ability to obtain one.
• Clean Motor Vehicle Record with no major traffic violations or preventable accidents in the last 3 years.
• Must meet all DOT and FMCSA requirements.
• Must be at least 21 years old.
• Ability to safely lift, push, pull, and move up to 50 pounds regularly and up to 100 pounds occasionally.
