CDL-A Semi-Local Driver – Good Pay | Home Weekly

Earn $86,000-$110,000 per year on a dedicated semi-local route with daytime driving, weekends off, and home 1-2 nights per week plus your weekly reset. Enjoy mostly drop-and-hook, no-touch freight with additional opportunities to increase your earnings.

$86,000-$110,000 Average Annual Pay

• Average Weekly Pay: $1,700-$2,150
• $100 weekly attendance bonus when working 5 days
• $6 every 15 minutes at pickup and delivery stops
• Outsource work: $225-$350/day
• $0.01 CPM yearly increases up to $0.64 CPM
• Approximately 2,200 miles/week
• Holiday pay effective immediately

Job Details

• Multi-stop deliveries to stores throughout the Midwest and Chicagoland
• No-touch freight
• Approximately 85% drop & hook
• Loading: 60% drop & hook / 40% live load
• Unloading: 75% drop & hook / 25% live unload
• Live loading/unloading averages approximately 1 hour
• Pick up backhauls for Chicagoland deliveries
• Optional 6th day for additional income
• Thanksgiving and Christmas off
• New Year's Day worked

Shift Details

• Monday-Friday
• Consistent start time selected between 3 AM-6 AM
• 12-hour shifts
• Home 1-2 nights per week for 10-hour breaks
• Weekly reset
• Weekends off
• Sleeper layovers required when needed

Job Requirements

• Valid Class A CDL
• Minimum 6 months of verifiable Class A CDL experience
• Clean driving record
• Valid DOT Medical Card
• No SAP drivers
• Hazmat endorsement required within 90 days
• Hazmat course and endorsement costs reimbursed
• Only 5%-10% of loads are Hazmat

Equipment & Training

• Freightliner or International trucks
• Automatic trucks only
• Assigned trucks — no slip seating
• Trucks remain at the account during time off
• No passengers permitted
