This position will be field based with a focus in Catoosa, Dawson, Fannin, Gilmer, Lumpkin, Murray, Rabun, Towns, Union, White, and Whitfield counites and requires statewide travel. The successful candidate would reside in or adjacent to the assigned territory.
Bright from the Start: Georgia Department of Early Care and Learning is responsible for meeting the child care and early education needs of Georgia's children and their families. It administers the nationally recognized Georgia's Pre-K Program, licenses child care centers and home-based child care, administers Georgia Childcare and Parent Services (CAPS) program, federal nutrition programs, and manages Quality Rated, Georgia's community powered child care rating system.
The department also houses the Head Start State Collaboration Office, distributes federal funding to enhance the quality and availability of child care, and works collaboratively with Georgia child care resource and referral agencies and organizations throughout the state to enhance early care and education.
Reliable attendance is an essential function of this position; consistent availability to work scheduled appointments and adhere to report deadlines is required.
Job Description: Under general supervision, reviews, monitors, and ensures compliance with state child care licensing rules and quality indicators. Provides technical assistance and support to facilities, vendors, and trainers to assure that compliance with regulations and policy is achieved and improved.

Entry Qualifications:
High school diploma/GED and two (2) years of job-related experience. Note: Some positions may require a valid driver's license.
