    Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced CCA Design Engineer to support the design and development of advanced aerospace and defense products. This position will focus on the design of Circuit Card Assemblies (CCAs), including component and connector selection, layout, engineering documentation, and coordination of testing and integration activities.

The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years of hands-on CCA design experience using Creo Parametric and Zuken, along with experience applying IPC standards within aerospace and defense product development environments.

This is an engineering design position—not a CAD/drafting role.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Design and develop Circuit Card Assemblies (CCAs) for aerospace and defense applications.
    • Perform connector and component selection and layout on CCAs.
    • Create and release IDX files and associated engineering documentation.
    • Develop detailed layouts, sketches, drawings, and design documentation.
    • Release drawings and documentation through Windchill.
    • Design major components and portions of functional systems and advanced prototypes.
    • Develop and improve products while supporting manufacturing operations.
    • Evaluate designs for manufacturability, material availability, interchangeability, replaceability, strength-to-weight efficiency, cost, and contractual requirements.
    • Coordinate design development with engineering, manufacturing, and other affected organizations.
    • Review completed layouts and drawings for accuracy, completeness, clarity, and compliance with applicable standards and specifications.
    • Identify design errors, omissions, and deficiencies and recommend appropriate design improvements.
    • Produce high-quality engineering documentation.
    • Support and guide test and integration activities.
    • Apply applicable IPC standards throughout the design process.

    Required Qualifications

    • 3+ years of hands-on Circuit Card Assembly (CCA) design experience.
    • 3+ years of Creo Parametric experience specifically related to CCA design.
    • 3+ years of hands-on Zuken experience.
    • 3+ years of experience working with IPC standards.
    • 3+ years of experience supporting aerospace and/or defense product development cycles.
    • Bachelor's degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering.
    • Strong problem-solving, communication, and project management skills.
    • Demonstrated ability to produce high-quality design documentation.
    • Ability to support and guide testing and integration activities.
    • Ability to work 100% onsite in Orlando, FL.

    Preferred Qualifications

    • Experience with Zuken E3 and electrical harness design.
    • Experience supporting manufacturing and product improvement initiatives.
    • Experience working within structured engineering documentation and release processes.

    Important Note

This position is specifically seeking candidates with CCA design engineering experience. Candidates whose backgrounds are primarily CAD, drafting, or general mechanical/electrical design without substantial CCA design experience will not be considered.

If you have hands-on CCA design experience with Creo Parametric and Zuken and have worked within aerospace/defense product development, we encourage you to apply.
