Job Summary and Qualifications Every heartbeat matters-and as a Cardiac Cath Lab Technologist, you'll be part of the team that protects them. In this role, you'll stand alongside physicians and colleagues to deliver advanced care during lifesaving cardiac procedures. From guiding patients and families through their journey to ensuring precision in every step of treatment, you'll bring both skill and compassion to moments that improve more lives in more ways. Your responsibilities will include: 1. Functions in the capacity of scrub tech, and monitor person for diagnostic and interventional procedures in the Cardiac Cath and EP Lab. 2. Cares for patients post procedure with an RN or LPN. 3. Takes EP and Cath lab/IR call as needed per hospital policy. 4. Restocks and cleans work area to promote patient safety. 5. Responsible for all phases of the DLX digital system. 6. Transports and assists with the setup and throughput of patients. 7. Actively participates in continuing education. 8. Serves as a liaison for the Electrophysiology lab and the Cath Lab/IR lab to promote physician, interdepartmental and intradepartmental relationships. 9. Utilizes equipment and performs special procedures competently as related to the Scope of Care for the Electrophysiology Lab and the Cath Lab/IR. 10. Efficiently communicates verbal and written information, instruction or education to the patient, family members and other members of the health care team as appropriate . What qualifications you will need: EDUCATION: Required : Graduate of a Cardiovascular Technology program - OR - three years of Cardiac Cath Lab experience, with 2 years Electroph ysiology Lab experience . LICENSURE AND CERTIFICATION : Required: BLS for Healthcare Providers through AHA or CPR through the American Heart Association Registered Radiographer (ARRT) and State Registered Radiologic Technician Preferred: Registered/licensed CVT, RT(R), RCIS, or RCES ACLS certification. CVT certification Preferred : C urrent registration as Cardiovascular Credentialing International .
