Experience Required: Minimum twelve (12) continuous months of cardiac cath lab, EP, Neuro IR, and/or Special procedures work experience within the last three (3) years.

Base Salary: $50 – $60/hour

Position Overview


The Cath Lab Special Procedure Technologist II assists credentialed providers with diagnostic, interventional, and therapeutic procedures in cardiac and vascular laboratory environments. The role performs scrub, monitor/recorder, and X-ray technologist duties while supporting patient safety, radiation compliance, sterile procedures, and cardiovascular monitoring.


Key Responsibilities


  • Serve as scrub, monitor/recorder, and X-ray technologist during CVL procedures.
  • Prepare and position patients and assist with invasive cardiac and vascular procedures.
  • Operate and troubleshoot hemodynamic, imaging, and monitoring equipment.
  • Recognize cardiac arrhythmias and hemodynamic waveforms and promptly alert the care team.
  • Maintain sterile fields using proper aseptic technique.
  • Support procedures involving IVUS, atherectomy devices, pacemakers/ICDs, and coronary interventions.
  • Perform radiation safety and quality-assurance activities.
  • Assist with sheath removal, hemostasis, patient transport, and post-procedure care.
  • Perform point-of-care testing including ACT, glucose, oxygen saturation, and ABGs.
  • Perform BLS/advanced life support and defibrillation when required.
  • Maintain supplies, equipment, and clean work areas.
  • Participate in on-call coverage and respond onsite within 30 minutes when called.
