Full-Time Catering Prep Cook

We are seeking a dependable and hardworking Full-Time Catering Prep Cook to join our culinary team. This is a full-time position for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced, professional kitchen and takes pride in producing consistent, high-quality food.

As a Catering Prep Cook, you will work alongside our culinary team to prepare food for a variety of catered events, ranging from smaller gatherings to large-scale events. We are looking for someone who is reliable, organized, efficient, and ready to be an important part of our day-to-day kitchen operations.

Responsibilities

• Prepare ingredients and food items for upcoming catering events
• Wash, chop, slice, portion, season, and prepare meats, vegetables, and other ingredients
• Follow recipes, portion standards, and presentation guidelines
• Assist chefs with daily food preparation and production
• Prepare and package food for transportation to catered events
• Properly label, date, store, and rotate food products
• Maintain clean and organized prep areas, coolers, and kitchen workspaces
• Follow all food safety, sanitation, and proper food-handling procedures
• Receive, organize, and properly store food deliveries and kitchen supplies
• Complete prep lists accurately and within required timelines
• Work closely with the culinary team to ensure events are prepared correctly and on time
• Assist with additional kitchen duties as needed

Qualifications

• Previous prep cook, restaurant, catering, or professional kitchen experience preferred
• Basic knife skills and knowledge of food preparation
• Ability to follow recipes and detailed instructions
• Strong organization and attention to detail
• Reliable, punctual, and able to maintain a consistent full-time schedule
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
• Strong teamwork and communication skills
• Ability to stand for extended periods and safely lift and carry food, supplies, and kitchen equipment
• Commitment to cleanliness, food safety, and quality
